Draft. This text is a plain-language first pass by the Meilu team. It will be replaced with counsel-reviewed language before public launch. Nothing here is legal advice.
Commitment
We want Meilu to work for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice input, or high-contrast modes. We target WCAG 2.1 AA.
What's done
- Semantic headings, landmarks (main, header, footer), and link text.
- Keyboard navigation for every interactive element; visible focus indicators.
- Form fields paired with labels; error messages announced inline.
- Color tokens tested for 4.5:1 contrast on body text.
Known gaps
- The Leaflet map on search is visually-oriented. A list-only fallback is available via the thread list — we're making the list view the default on narrow screens.
- The Tweaks panel is staff-only; not yet keyboard-complete.
- Some icon-only buttons need better aria-labels; audit in progress.
