About Home Sublet

Home Sublet is a sublet platform for Israel, in Hebrew and English, starting with Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. It connects people leaving their home for a while with people who need a place for a month, a semester, or until the hosts come back.

What we do

Hosts list their place for free, and renters send a request with who they are and which dates. The host approves or declines, and only after an approval does a conversation open to arrange the key handover.

What we don’t do

Home Sublet doesn’t move money and charges renters no fee. Rent and deposit go straight to the host at the key handover, in cash or by a local transfer you agree on. The only payment on the site is an optional listing boost, and that is the host’s choice.

What the tags mean

“Verified host” means the host verified a phone or an email and at least one person confirmed a reference for them. It is not a background check or a guarantee. “Landlord approved” means a signed approval from the landlord for the sublet is attached to the listing, and we keep it on file.

Why we write guides

Most sublets in Israel happen in Facebook groups and private messages, and first-timers don’t know what to ask. Our guides sum up what is worth knowing before you move in: neighbourhoods, prices, what the law says and how to avoid scams. Every fact in them is checked against a source, and the sources are listed at the end of each guide.
