Home Sublet

How it works

A sublet isn't a hotel and it isn't a two-year lease. It's someone's home, for a few months. Here's how it goes with us.

1. Find

Search by city, neighbourhood, dates and budget. Every listing shows who the host is, whether they're verified, and what people who stayed with them wrote.

2. Send a request

A booking request is not a booking. You tell the host who you are and which dates; the host approves or declines. Until they approve, nothing is settled and no money moves.

3. Agree

Once approved, a conversation opens. You arrange the handover, ask what isn't clear, and settle whatever the listing doesn't say.

4. The money

Home Sublet doesn't move money and charges renters no fee. Rent and deposit go directly to the host at the key handover — in cash or by a local transfer you've agreed. Ask for a signed receipt.

5. The keys

You meet, see the place, get the keys. Daylight is best, and only after you've seen that everything matches the listing.

6. After the stay

Only someone who stayed thirty nights or more can write a review, and both sides write before either sees. The deposit comes back the way you agreed; if there's a dispute, you open it from the booking page and we take a look.

Before the first meeting, it's worth reading the safety page.
